History

Mr. Alfonso was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  He attended preparatory school in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Holland Hall and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  While in college, Mr. Alfonso attended and graduated from L'Institute de Tourrainne, in Loire, France with a degree in French.  Mr. Alfonso received his JD from Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, California. 

Achievements

Mr. Alfonso is on the board of the International Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. 

He has been a speaker at several legal conferences over the past five years, including a featured speaker at the December 2007 Center for International Legal Studies ("CILS"), in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where he spoke on the application of US procedural law in international arbitration proceedings based upon binding contractual language or clauses.

Mr. Alfonso has successfully litigated in several jurisdictions, including Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Manhattan, as well as in the realm of international arbitration conducted through the International Chamber of Commerce ("ICC") in The Hague.

Goals

As a member of the Board of the International Law Section of the Dallas Bar, Mr. Alfonso continues his efforts to increase the profile of both his firm and the city of Dallas as a new option and promising alternative for international law clients for the coming decade.

Specialties

In addition to his fifteen years of representing clients in commercial litigation and arbitration, Mr. Alfonso has recently been licensed by the National Football League Players Association ("NFLPA") as a contract advisors, and is sanctioned to negotiate NFLP players contracts on behalf of players and rookies to the league.
